When you make your gumbo, please include the recipe. I'm from Tn so I don't have a family recipe to fall back on. Thanks!

First you make a roux, chocolate in color is the best flavor. The jarred versions are good as long as they're made in Louisiana. Then follow any recipe about other ingredients such as chicken and sausage or seafood.
